Overview
Join our dynamic team as a GPS Technician and become a vital part of our project in the Florida Keys.
Under the general direction of the Project Manager and/or Field Supervisor, the GPS Technician will locate and document GPS location (latitude/longitude/address) of electric meters.
This position is full time temporary expected to last approximately 6 months. There is a possibility, but no guarantee, of additional work in a different role when this part of the project is complete.
Responsibilities include:
1. Locating electric meters.
2. Using assigned equipment and hand held device (ie: tablet) to document location including data such as latitude, longitude, address, etc.
3. Detailed record keeping for tracking all data associated with tasks.
4. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or as may be required.
Requirements:

· Accurate record keeping and documentation skills
· Dependability
· Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the job as no per diem nor relocation allowance is associated with this position.
· Ability to use hand held device and other equipment as required for the position.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Ability to drive throughout the day, stand on feet, bend or stoop for a prolonged period of time. The work is performed outdoors and through inclement weather as necessary.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
· Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of personal or professional driving experience due to insurance requirements.
· Must have own personal Smart phone.
· Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
· Good Communication Skills (speaking, reading and writing).
· Ability to carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner.
· Additional Requirements: Background check clearance including drug screening and I-9 documentation as required by law
