Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and feeding to promote independence and self-care skills
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Implement evidence-based ABA therapy protocols tailored to each client’s care plan and support goals related to autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and behavioral skills through engaging teaching strategies
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes and session reports, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards
- Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts, educators, and caregivers to ensure consistency across treatment environments such as home or school settings
- Participate in ongoing training on medical terminology, behavior management techniques, and ethical guidelines outlined by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and implementation of ABA therapy protocols
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in developing independence in daily routines
- Proficiency in data collection methods for behavioral health and behavior management purposes
- Excellent client communication skills to foster trust and cooperation during therapy sessions
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards including HIPAA compliance
- Home-based behavioral experience or school experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
- Demonstrated professionalism adhering to ethical guidelines for behavior analysts and care plans for clients’ well-being
