Position Summary
North Point Grill & Bar is looking for an energetic and experienced Server/Bartender to join our team.
This is a dual-role position requiring someone who is comfortable providing exceptional table service while also tending bar. You will create a welcoming experience for our guests, take food and beverage orders, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and ensure guests receive friendly, attentive service from start to finish.
The ideal candidate is confident, personable, dependable, and able to move comfortably between the dining room and bar while maintaining a high level of service. If you enjoy interacting with people, have a passion for hospitality, and can keep up in a busy restaurant environment, we want to hear from you!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, beer, wine, and cocktails
- Monitor tables and the bar to ensure guests are satisfied throughout their visit
- Check identification and follow all applicable laws and responsible alcohol service requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and dining area
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and support staff
- Assist other team members as needed to keep service running smoothly
- Follow restaurant policies, service standards, and health and safety regulations
- Help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for every guest
Qualifications
- Previous serving and bartending experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working both the dining room and bar
- Knowledge of food, beer, wine, and cocktails
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and strong team mentality
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently
- Professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
