Job Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting QuickBooks (IES) and other project management software.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and providing detailed financial report writing to aid decision-making.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, ensuring adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in corporate accounting environments with a solid understanding of financial concepts. Experience in construction related accounting preferred.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Desktop and Online (IES).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and tax experience is advantageous.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes, payroll management, and budget monitoring.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with attention to detail for account analysis and general ledger reconciliation.
- Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating across teams.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
