Basalt Restaurant is looking for Line Cooks to join our team in Honolulu, HI.

Line Cooks are responsible for preparing, cooking, plating and presenting hot appetizers and hot entrees produced in the kitchen or assigned area. Line cooks will follow established recipes and production lists to ensure consistency and high quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute daily production list for respective station.
- Follow recipes and production guidelines in order to accurately and consistently produce quality dishes.
- Ability to minimize waste and prevent overproduction.
- Properly store, rotate, and manage all food products in accordance with State Food Code policies.
- Work in a clean and organized station, maintaining safety and sanitation housekeeping standards
- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment used as well as the correct operation. (Immediately inform Chefs as to any equipment maintenance needed or observed safety hazards.)
- Perform any and all related duties as assigned by the Back Of House Team.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
- Degree or certificate from an accredited culinary institution preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow directions precisely and efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate and work cohesively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be capable of safely lifting up to 30-40lbs.
- Must possess a valid State of Hawaii TB Health Card.
- Beneficial to possess a ServSafe card.
