Duties

- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage procedures
- Prepare IV infusions and aseptic compounds following strict sterile techniques to ensure patient safety
- Support patient intake processes by verifying medication histories and updating records efficiently
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and ensuring clear communication
- Maintain detailed documentation of medication administration, compounding procedures, and inventory logs
- Adhere to hospital protocols, medical terminology standards, and safety guidelines during all pharmacy operations
Requirements
- Proven pharmacy technician experience with familiarity in hospital or acute care settings
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Experience with LTC pharmacy, critical care, or IV infusion preparation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of aseptic technique practices essential for sterile compounding tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with attention to detail
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Relevant certifications as required by state law for pharmacy technicians; ongoing professional development preferred
