Nurse Practitioner - On-Site Construction Clinic
Location: Oklaunion, Texas
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
Position Type: Full-time, on-site
A Nurse Practitioner is needed to provide medical care at a large construction project in Oklaunion, Texas. This position will handle day-to-day employee health needs, workplace injuries, first aid, and injury follow-up while working closely with the site safety team.
This is a field-based role, not a traditional office or hospital setting. The provider should be comfortable making independent decisions, treating injuries on-site, and knowing when an employee needs outside medical care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and minor illnesses
- Perform wound care, including laceration repair and sutures
- Assess strains, sprains, burns, eye injuries, heat-related illness, and other common jobsite concerns
- Provide first aid and emergency response as needed
- Determine work status, restrictions, and referral needs
- Document patient visits, treatment provided, and follow-up recommendations
- Communicate with safety personnel and supervisors regarding work-related care needs
- Support heat prevention, hydration, stretching, and injury-prevention efforts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked medical area
Requirements
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
- Comfortable treating injuries independently in a construction environment
- Suturing experience is required
- Urgent care, emergency room, occupational medicine, family practice, or similar experience preferred
- Able to communicate clearly with employees, supervisors, and safety personnel

The ideal candidate is confident, practical, and comfortable working independently in a construction environment. They should have strong assessment and triage skills, be experienced with sutures and minor injury treatment, and know when a worker can be treated on-site versus referred for additional care. This person should communicate well with crews and safety staff, stay calm under pressure, and take a proactive approach to injury prevention and employee wellness.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour
