In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in industrial maintenance and electrical systems.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues utilizing electrical diagnostics tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
- Repair and replace faulty components including motors, drives, sensors, switches, and wiring in accordance with electrical blueprint reading standards.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
- Conduct welding ( welding if applicable), HVAC/R repairs, and low/high voltage electrical repairs to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose complex engineering troubleshooting issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems.
- Support field service activities by providing technical assistance on-site or remotely to resolve equipment failures promptly.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to high voltage systems, industrial electrician standards, and equipment troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist in training team members on proper maintenance techniques and safety procedures to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS software for work order management.
- Technical sales experience or customer service background is a plus for communicating technical issues effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, HVAC/R certifications preferred.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely; certification is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics reading skills.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics including troubleshooting electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks involving low voltage ( welding if applicable), high voltage systems, and electrical maintenance procedures.
- Skilled in hydraulic system troubleshooting and pneumatic system diagnostics using analysis skills and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints accurately; experience with engineering troubleshooting is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
