Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Epoxy Flooring Technician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and refinishing epoxy floors across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces with durable, high-quality flooring solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, grinding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of epoxy coatings.
- Mix and apply epoxy resins accurately according to technical specifications and project plans.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install flooring materials such as vinyl, hardwood, tile, or carpet as needed for comprehensive flooring solutions.
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise installations.
- Perform floor refinishing tasks including buffing, water damage restoration, and surface preparation for long-lasting results.
- Ensure all work complies with building material safety standards and site safety protocols during installation and restoration activities.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, or remodeling projects to support overall project completion.
Skills
- Extensive experience with epoxy floor installation and flooring materials including vinyl, hardwood, tile laying, carpet installation, and floor refinishing.
- Proficient in using hand tools (e.g., scrapers, trowels) and power tools (e.g., grinders, drills) safely and effectively on construction sites.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Knowledge of building installation safety compliance standards to maintain a secure work environment.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and water damage restoration techniques for comprehensive project execution.
- Experience with floor care maintenance such as buffing or surface sealing to ensure durability over time.
- Ability to handle manual tasks including lifting heavy materials safely while adhering to proper handling procedures.
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices related to building material installation and renovation projects.
