A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Commercial Finance Associate to join its sophisticated finance practice in Philadelphia.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in working on complex commercial finance transactions for a diverse client base that includes commercial banks, commercial finance companies, private equity firms, investors, developers, and other institutional lenders and borrowers.
- Commercial finance transactions
- Syndicated lending transactions
- Portfolio and structured finance transactions
- Secured lending matters
- Direct lender and private credit transactions
- Drafting and negotiating loan documentation
- Direct client interaction and substantive transactional responsibility
- Collaboration with a nationally recognized finance team
- Approximately 3–6 years of commercial finance experience
- Experience with syndicated lending, portfolio transactions, secured lending, or commercial finance transactions strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)
- Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code as it relates to commercial finance transactions
- Experience with workouts, restructuring matters, M&A transactions, or private equity transactions is a plus
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school required
- Active Pennsylvania bar admission required or ability to waive in
