The Town of Franklin is seeking reliable and energetic individuals to join our Facilities team as Part-Time or Substitute Custodians. Custodians help ensure that town buildings and public school facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Schedule:
Part-Time: 10–18 hours per week
- Typically evenings (4:00–9:00 PM) on weekdays and/or weekend mornings
- Some shifts may be later to support evening events
Substitute: On-call, as needed
- Assigned weekly based on open shifts at Franklin Public Schools
Duties Include:
- Sweeping, dusting, mopping, and washing floors and windows
- Emptying trash and maintaining cleanliness of buildings
- Performing related custodial duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to climb ladders and handle repetitive motion
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment physical, including a drug test
