Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions smoothly while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables and assisting in food handling and preparation when needed
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during service, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Experience with fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings preferred
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing tabs confidently
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures in the food industry
- Previous experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
