Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with patients to help them regain movement and manage pain following an injury or illness. You will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for our patients by providing personalized care and developing treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical condition and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, self-care techniques, and injury prevention strategies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy
- Familiarity with acute care settings and the ability to provide patient care in a hospital environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
