Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney
A growing and progressive workers' compensation defense firm is seeking both experienced associates and newly admitted attorneys to join its Buffalo, NY office.
The ideal candidate is admitted to practice in New York (or recently admitted), highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to provide exceptional client service. The firm is looking for attorneys who can effectively manage multiple priorities, communicate confidently with clients, analyze legal and medical documents, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities

Manage New York workers' compensation claims from referral through resolution

Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and other proceedings

Conduct legal research and analyze medical records

Draft motions, legal memoranda, appeals, and case evaluations

Communicate regularly with clients and provide timely case updates

Develop litigation strategies and settlement recommendations

Participate in business development, networking, and client relationship-building efforts
Qualifications
-
Admission to practice law in New York
-
2+ years of legal experience preferred; exceptional newly admitted attorneys encouraged to apply

Workers' compensation experience preferred but not required

Strong organizational, writing, analytical, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Westlaw, and other legal technology tools

Self-starter with a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
What They Offer

Competitive salary: $75,000-$90,000 based on experience

Bonus opportunities with additional earning potential of $25,000-$30,000 annually
