Occasionally we take on an intern for those looking to get their foot in the door at a professional guide service. The ideal candidate is studying outdoor education or similar degree and has a strong passion for teaching others. The candidate should have 3+ years of technical climbing experience and a very strong commitment to the sport and the guiding industry. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Innkeeper is responsible for the daily operations of The Bunkhouse, client communications, indoor and outdoor maintenance and the promotion of services. This individual will be a highly motivated, organized, self-starter able to operate and promote The Bunkhouse at NEM. A dynamic personality with attention to detail is essential.
REPORTS TO: Director of Guide Services & Operations Manager
JOB EXPECTATIONS
- Control quality services through cleaning, organizing and maintaining property inside & out.
- Mow lawn, sweep porches, weed gardens etc.
- Plow driveway, shovel/sand walkways and near doors.
- Meet and greet guests and address all customer comments, questions and concerns.
- Client communications via email/airbnb
- Creating, editing, modifying and managing bookings.
- Maintain social media accounts, email marketing and other digital communications.
- Prospect and engage new sales opportunities.
EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma
- 1-3 years in the outdoor industry
- A proven track record of strong client relationships
- Excellent client service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with the White Mountain area and hiking trails in the National Forest.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
Experience with Checkfront, WordPress, Mailchimp and Email necessary (training available)
COMPENSATION
