Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to monitor patient health status.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, documenting findings, and updating medical records accurately.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
- Support dentists during procedures through chairside assisting, including handing instruments and managing suction.
- Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques and adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current state certification.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred, along with familiarity in general dentistry settings.
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques, including four-handed dentistry for efficiency and comfort.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks confidently while demonstrating excellent communication skills.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
