Alpine Painting, a leading industrial painting company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Professional to join our team. As a Welding Professional, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of welding tasks to support our painting and coating projects. ABOUT THE JOB - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to fabricate and repair metal structures.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for welding projects.
- Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document work performed, including materials used and hours worked, accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Vocational or technical training in welding or a related field a minimum of 5 years experience
- Proven experience as a Welding Professional in an industrial or construction setting.
- Valid welding certifications, such as AWS or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with various welding materials and their properties.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods, climbing to certain heights, and confined spaces
- Has performed welding on Suspended scaffolding
- Basic Knowledge on Rigging
- Experience welding on water tanks and/or bridges, and buildings
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
SCHEDULE:
- Full Time – 40hrs. Per week
- Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30, with some flexibility
- Working from our office in Paterson, NJ
COMPENSATION:
- Hourly range is $25.00-$35.00 based on experience
- Health: 90% of Single Employee + portion of family; Dental; Vision
