ABOUT THE POSITION: (why does job exist)
Performs preventive maintenance (PM) work orders and additional maintenance activities as related to areas of responsibility. Support and assist other maintenance staff as needed. Able to perform assigned task with minimal direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pump & Valve Maintenance: Troubleshooting and rebuilding positive displacement, diaphragm, lobe, and screw pumps.
- System Upkeep and repair: Maintaining industrial agitators, mixers, chillers, and thermal heating systems.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Performing scheduled inspections to prevent leaks, contamination, and unplanned downtime.
- Compliance & Safety: Following strict OSHA safety guidelines, hazardous material protocols, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintains a safe working environment-focusing on cGMP, environmental and safety requirements as specified by Operations Management.
- Executes assigned PM’s and WO’s for areas of responsibility.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Maintain tools and equipment used in the maintenance department.
- Provide assistance to Production and Engineering when requested
- Ability to work at different company locations, or production areas, as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of Maintenance work area.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Basic knowledge of Chillers and Thermal Heating systems
- Basic knowledge of Air Compressors
- Must be able to use and maintain basic maintenance shop equipment. This includes assorted hand and power tools, grinders, belt sanders and inspection equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain various plant and process equipment in assigned areas of responsibility.
- Must be familiar with basic electronics and simple controls. Must be able to install and troubleshoot simple electrical services and controls.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school Diploma or GED, or vocational school with 5 or more years of job experience in Manufacturing maintenance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position in a manufacturing setting:
- Primarily standing in a manufacturing environment, including extended periods of walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Frequent walking and standing required when working in production areas, attending meetings on the shop floor, or engaging with plant personnel.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments, which may include noise, dust, temperature variations, and the need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to lift and carry materials such as tools, equipment, or parts etc. weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Visual and auditory acuity are necessary to identify, trouble shoot and solve mechanical issues while communicating effectively in person and via digital platforms.
- Manual dexterity for writing, handling tools and technology.
- Occasional travel between manufacturing sites or to attend off-site meetings, trainings, or conferences.

Base hiring range for this position is: $28.00 -$35, depending on experience, shift differentials, and certifications
The compensation offered will be determined by factors such as level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
