Now Hiring: Dog Handler – Country Boarding Retreat for Dogs
Do you love dogs and the outdoors? We’re an independently owned, upscale dog boarding facility nestled in the countryside, offering a peaceful, spacious environment for dogs to relax and play. We’re looking for an experienced dog handler to join our dedicated team.
This position requires availability for the following shifts:
Saturdays 7am-2pm
Sundays 7am-3pm
Mondays 7am -3pm
Thursdays 7:30am-3:30pm
Availability on holidays and when extra help is needed
About the Job:
You’ll work hands-on with dogs of all breeds and temperaments—providing excellent care, companionship, and structure.
Responsibilities include:
- Interacting with and supervising boarding dogs
- Cleaning kennel spaces and feeding dogs
- Providing excellent customer service
- Using our computer-based reservation system
- Helping each dog feel safe, calm, and at home
- Light hiking and outdoor enrichment
About You:
- Confident, kind, and patient with dogs of all temperaments
- Reliable, observant, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working outdoors in a country setting
- Friendly and professional with clients
- Must enjoy both humans and canines
- Experienced in working with dogs (required)
- Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays (required)
- Must be at least 18 years old
