Job Description
Fluffology is seeking an experienced professional certified dog groomer with strong leadership skills to join our team as a Part-Time Groomer & Salon Manager.
This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished groomer who wants to spend less time at the grooming table and more time using their experience to lead a team, oversee grooming quality, and help run the day-to-day operations.
You’ll maintain a limited grooming schedule while overseeing grooming quality, mentoring our team, managing workflow, resolving client concerns, and helping ensure the salon operates smoothly.
Responsibilities
· Serve as a senior technical resource for our grooming team
· Perform quality-control checks on finished grooms
· Ensure grooming consistently meets Fluffology's quality and safety standards
· Coach and mentor groomers on technique, finishing, efficiency, and consistency
· Maintain a limited hands-on grooming schedule
· Step in on technically challenging grooms when needed
· Oversee daily salon workflow and help keep appointments running on schedule
· Help manage staff scheduling, coverage, attendance, and accountability
· Identify problems and take initiative to resolve them
· Handle client questions, grooming concerns, and abandoned appointments
· Help maintain a clean, organized, professional salon environment
· Monitor supplies and day-to-day operational needs
· Communicate regularly with the founder regarding staff, clients, quality, and salon operations
Qualifications
· Significant professional dog grooming experience required
· Strong grooming and finishing skills across breeds and coat types
· Previous experience as a Lead Groomer, Grooming Manager, Salon Manager, or grooming business owner strongly preferred
· Strong understanding of grooming safety and quality standards
· Ability to evaluate finished grooms and provide constructive feedback
· Leadership experience and confidence managing people
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Strong judgment and problem-solving ability
· Organized, dependable, and accountable
· Comfortable making decisions independently
· Calm and professional when handling difficult situations
· Genuine commitment to the safety and well-being of pets

Compensation
$30-$35 per hour, depending on grooming experience, leadership background, and qualifications.
Schedule
Approximately 20-30 hours per week. Saturday availability is required.
The schedule will include a combination of grooming, quality control, team leadership, and salon management responsibilities.
