Per Diem Position
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Provides dental hygiene services focused on the prevention and treatment of oral disease while supporting quality patient care in a clinical setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and sealant placement

Take dental x-rays and polish restorations
-
Assess oral health and consult with the Dentist as needed

Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
-
Follow clinical protocols, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines
-
Utilize appropriate ICD diagnostic and billing codes
-
Meet productivity, quality, and contractual standards
-
Attend required meetings and trainings
-
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license required

Current CPR certification required

Radiation certification required
-
One year of experience preferred

Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and infection control standards

Strong communication and patient care skills
-
Ability to maintain accurate records and work effectively in a team environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and push up to 100 lbs.

Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements
-
High manual dexterity and adequate vision/hearing required
-
May be exposed to contagious or infectious diseases
