Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a slow paced environment. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients across primary care and family practice care. Mostly outpatient clinics, acute care, geriatrics, adults, women and children care. Knowledge and management of urinary catheters etc. will be a plus. This position can be 2-4 days in a week, the incumbent will have opportunity to develop your own clinic at at cost sharing. Opportunity if needed to hire your own staff. The infrastructure is already up and running.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, as necessary.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and minor injury managements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient record management.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Experience
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Emergency medicine or urgent care settings or primary care experience. .
- Geriatrics experience, including working with children and senior care.
- Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and workers' compensation law.
- Experience in telehealth services and home care environments.
