Director of Operations
Location: Erie, Pennsylvania (On-Site)
Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus

The Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing commercial services company in Erie, Pennsylvania, seeking a Director of Operations to lead day-to-day operations, develop frontline leaders, and drive operational excellence across the organization.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on building teams, creating accountability, and improving performance. The Director of Operations will oversee operational execution while partnering closely with executive leadership to improve profitability, enhance customer satisfaction, and position the business for continued growth.
The ideal candidate has experience leading multi-site or field operations, managing a P&L, and developing high-performing teams. A military leadership background—particularly within Special Operations, aviation, infantry, logistics, engineering, or maintenance—is strongly preferred due to the leadership, adaptability, and mission-focused mindset the role demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the business with full accountability for execution, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Own the operational P&L, managing budgets, labor costs, productivity, and overall financial performance.
- Develop, coach, and mentor frontline managers and supervisors while building a culture of accountability and ownership.
- Establish and manage operational KPIs to drive performance improvements.
- Improve processes, systems, and workflows that increase efficiency and support future growth.
- Partner with sales and customer-facing teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer retention.
- Lead weekly operational reviews, forecasting, and business planning.
- Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing operational talent.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military leadership experience strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive operational leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience owning or managing a P&L.
- Experience leading operations within commercial services, industrial services, facilities services, construction, manufacturing, logistics, or related industries.
- Proven success leading teams through frontline managers and supervisors.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational metrics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required for candidates with exceptional leadership experience.
