About the Role
The Aisle Agency is an emerging wedding planning studio within The Aisle Collection LLC. We’re seeking an experienced planner to join as a 1099 contractor who can lead weddings and help grow the brand into a profitable, in‑demand studio.
This role combines full‑service wedding planning with business development. You’ll operate with autonomy under The Aisle Agency brand, supported by systems, templates, and parent‑company infrastructure.
Compensation
- 1099 contractor role.
- 80/20 revenue split on net planning fees
- Potential performance‑based bonuses tied to revenue/profit milestones.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end‑to‑end wedding planning and day‑of coordination.
- Own client relationships from inquiry through post‑event recap.
- Manage budgets, vendors, and timelines to protect margin and deliver exceptional experiences.
- Qualify and close leads aligned with agency pricing and brand standards.
- Represent The Aisle Agency at venues, networking events, and industry gatherings.
- Build and leverage a vendor/venue network to drive referrals and repeat business.
- Collaborate on marketing content (stories, galleries, styled shoots) and service development.
What We’re Looking For
- 5-7+ years of professional wedding planning or high‑touch event planning.
- Proven ability to generate revenue and referral business.
- Strong relationships with local venues/vendors (Michigan preferred), or strong networking ability.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable juggling multiple weddings.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing a boutique brand.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning within the hospitality industry, especially in weddings or large-scale events.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable vendor contracts and upselling services effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with event management software and CRM systems.
- Exceptional communication skills for clear client interactions, team leadership, and vendor negotiations.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, catering services, hotel or restaurant experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in managing event budgets, contracts, and guest services while maintaining high standards of hospitality excellence.
Nice to Have
- Experience with project management/CRM platforms (Asana, Trello, Notion, HoneyBook).
- Experience contributing to marketing and brand visibility.
- Familiarity with diverse cultural/religious wedding traditions.
