What You'll Be Doing
- Set up, operate, and monitor high-speed food packaging machinery
- Perform film changes, product changeovers, and machine setups
- Adjust machine controls to maximize efficiency and product quality
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues including jams, seal quality concerns, and film alignment
- Verify packaging quality, weights, labels, lot codes, seals, and zipper functions
- Coordinate and direct line personnel during production, sanitation, and changeovers
- Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards
What We're Looking For
To be successful, you should have:
- 2+ years of food manufacturing packaging machine operation experience
- Experience with form-fill-seal (FFS) and/or zipper-bag packaging equipment
- Hands-on experience performing film and product changeovers
- Experience setting machine controls and making equipment adjustments
- Knowledge of hoppers, product flow systems, and packaging processes
- Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Push and pull pallet jacks
- Climb stairs
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
