Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a strong ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a commitment to quality and safety while working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments.
Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for assembly and fabrication tasks.
- Conduct pipe threading and rigging operations as needed for project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
Skills
- Construction site experience is highly desirable.
- Proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and various fabrication techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Experience in manufacturing processes including soldering, machining, and assembly.
