Overview
We are seeking a Friendly, Dedicated, Reliable and Detail-Oriented Bakery Assistant to support our current team in the bakery environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the baking industry, customer service and high-quality baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service, bakery or cafe operations, food safety, food service, and culinary techniques. Baking and Decorating experience would be a Plus, but are not required for this position. This is also a great opportunity for an Entry-Level position, as we are happy to train and mentor. This position is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining product quality, and delivering excellent customer experiences.
This position is a part time, year-round job, and requires closing shifts as well as at least one shift each weekend.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service is the top priority
- Support bakery production processes including making frosting and fillings
- Package baked goods efficiently for retail or catering purposes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle ingredients and supplies with proper food handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for team members
Skills
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety and handling procedures
- Phone and Social Skills
- Familiarity with small scale bakery equipment
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or guests during catering or retail activities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
