The St Paul Meat Shop is searching for a human interested in food who is passionate about customer service as well as the ins and out of whole animal butchery.
- Become an expert in whole animal butchery
- Physically available on a regular basis to work shifts anywhere from 8 am-8 pm with flexibility to work weekends and availability around our busy holiday time
- Participates in creating an atmosphere of outstanding hospitality by greeting customers enthusiastically and with a smile as they enter the shop and being an excellent teammate to your co-workers
- Work in a fast-paced environment with patience and kindness
- Positively respond to direction and requests for assistance from co-workers, supervisors, managers and guests
- Takes initiative to help any area of the shop if possible
- Assist customers in placing an order for a sandwich or salad
- Make beautiful food to specifications
- Learn about the specialty products we sell in our stores, including:
- Artisan cheese
- Cured meats
- Whole animal cuts of meat
- Pantry products (ie. oils, vinegars, pasta, etc)
- Assemble cheese and charcuterie trays as necessary
- Perform side work tasks to keep our shop humming.
- Answer the phone! Take messages or find the right person to the answer the question (if you don’t know it)
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop including merchandising cheese, and other items in the retail space
- Learn/maintain food safety standards required of a safety-inspected food environment

- You can work days as well as evenings, weekends and holidays
- You can stand on feet for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds
