We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our Mental Health Clinic team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients with diverse mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate nutrition strategies to support mental health recovery.
- Provide specialized counseling on topics such as weight management, long-term nutrition goals, and dietary adjustments for acute or chronic conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate dietary interventions within overall treatment plans, including managing tube feeding when necessary.
- Offer health coaching sessions to motivate and educate patients about healthy eating habits, lifestyle modifications, and weight loss strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, tracking patient progress and updating care plans regularly.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with current licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
- Passionate about the integration between mental health and nutrition
- Proven experience in supervising dietetic staff or interns in clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles applicable to mental health and geriatrics populations.
- Hands-on experience with hospital or long-term care environments, including acute care settings.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations, EMR systems, and outpatient protocols for patient assessment and care planning.
- Expertise in managing tube feeding procedures and nutritional support for complex cases.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and health coaching initiatives.
