Prairie Hill Elementary and Willowbrook Middle School are looking to hire a part-time building custodian to work 30 hours a week. Compensation starts at $15/hour. Part-time custodians are driven by our district’s mission statement of ‘Students First, Always’. Individuals should have a positive demeanor and the ability to work both independently and closely with the administration, staff and students. They perform their responsibilities so that a safe school environment is provided for all. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Punctuality and Attendance
- General cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash collection
- Set up and tear down of school events
- Stripping and waxing floors
- Minor maintenance and/or repair tasks
- Willing and able to accept flexibility in work schedule
- Having the ability to demonstrate physical strength sufficient to perform heavy manual tasks
- Having the ability to safely and effectively operate all necessary hand and power equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining safe building exterior, interior and premises
- Creating and following assigned cleaning schedules
- Keeping current with best practices and requirements as they relate to your job assignment
- Performing such other job related duties and assuming such other professional responsibilities as your supervisor may from time to time assign or delegate
- Possible recess supervision
