American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with a NYS Radiologic Technologist Therapy License and at least 1 year of experience for a hospital Radiation Oncology department specializing in cancer services.

Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department setting specializing in cancer services and oncology
-
Adult acute care patient population
-
Advanced modalities including IMRT, external beam therapy, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and B-mode acquisition targeting
-
Additional techniques include custom molds, custom shields, block cutting, compensation filters, portal cast, wedges, and tumor localization
-
Experience with Ethos or Varian machines preferred

Epic EMR preferred

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, 8-hour shifts; schedule is dependent upon department needs

Floating required to all other Radiation Oncology locations

Active NYS Radiologic Technologist Therapy License required if applicable

Current ARRT (T) and BLS certifications required

Minimum of 1 year of radiation therapy experience

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills with a flexible, adaptable, and collaborative work style

Dependable, punctual, and able to adhere to radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE protocols

Ability to operate lift/transfer devices and utilize rapid response/code team procedures

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Administer radiation treatments using advanced techniques including IMRT, external beam therapy, and dose calculation

Adhere to radiation safety protocols and isolation/PPE precautions as required
-
Local candidates are accepted, but must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
