Join the team at Nation’s Giant Hamburgers as a Shift Supervisor and help create a welcoming environment where guests receive friendly service and freshly prepared food. Nation‘s began as a small hot dog stand in San Pablo, California, in 1952 and has grown into a longtime Northern California tradition known for giant hamburgers, hearty breakfasts, and fresh pies.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will work alongside the crew preparing food, taking customer orders, operating the register, cleaning, and assisting guests. You will also help keep the shift running smoothly by coordinating breaks, supporting and directing crew members, maintaining food quality and safety standards, handling drawer counts, and heloping resolve customer concerns. We are looking for a dependable, positive leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant and takes pride in excellent food, service, and teamwork. Prior restaraunt experience is required and leadership or shift-lead experience is required.
Duties
- Supervise daily store activities, ensuring smooth shift operations and adherence to company policies
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales potential
- Oversee cashiering functions including POS system operation, cash handling, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and security
- Coordinate purchasing activities and assist with budgeting efforts to optimize store profitability
- Conduct interviewing and onboarding of new employees, supporting employee orientation and training programs
- Monitor sales performance metrics, implement sales management techniques, and drive retail sales growth
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience within the retail industry with a strong background in managing sales teams
- Exceptional management skills with a focus on operational efficiency, inventory management, and customer service excellence
- Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills for daily financial transactions
- Strong communication skills including managerial communication, phone etiquette, and organizational abilities
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Expertise in negotiating with vendors or suppliers as part of purchasing and inventory control processes
- Demonstrated leadership in training & development initiatives with a focus on team management and operational excellence

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
