At D&D Mechanical, Inc., safety is at the core of everything we build. We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Coordinator to oversee safety compliance, risk prevention, and safety culture across our structural, mechanical, and industrial construction projects.

What You’ll Do
Inspections & Monitoring
- Conduct daily job site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company standards
- Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and at-risk behaviors and implement corrective actions
Specialized Hazard Controls
- Oversee safety practices related to heavy equipment erection, structural steel, rigging, confined space entry, fall protection, and mechanical/piping installation
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols
Planning & Documentation
- Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Support project planning efforts by identifying safety risks and implementing preventive controls
- Prepare and manage incident reports, documentation, and corrective action tracking
- Work closely with the Safety Director to develop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs and procedures
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready records of inspections, training, incidents, and safety metrics
Training
- Lead daily toolbox talks and ensure compliance with required certifications
Equipment & Safety Resources
- Inspect PPE and safety equipment for compliance and condition
- Coordinate distribution, maintenance, and replacement of safety gear
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
- 3–7+ years of safety experience in industrial, mechanical, or heavy construction environments
Certifications
- OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, or similar safety certifications
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, OSHA regulations, and hazard control systems
- Experience with rigging, structural steel erection, and industrial piping operations
- Ability to enforce safety standards and stop work when unsafe conditions exist
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with field teams, supervisors, and leadership
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, climb, and navigate active industrial job sites
- Ability to work in outdoor, high-noise, and physically demanding environments
- Comfortable working at heights and around heavy equipment
