HealthMed Diagnostic & Treatment Center is a growing multispecialty Article 28 healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to our diverse community. We are expanding our Behavioral Health and Psychological Services department and are seeking a compassionate, experienced Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our team.
Bengali-speaking candidates are strongly preferred due to the needs of the community we serve.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological and neuropsychological assessments (including cognitive, developmental, behavioral, and personality testing as appropriate).
- Prepare detailed psychological evaluation reports with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
- Diagnose behavioral health conditions in accordance with DSM-5 criteria.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatrists, behavioral health clinicians, and other specialists to develop coordinated treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and care coordination.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and available resources.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Active New York State license as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience providing psychological testing and comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
- Strong report-writing and clinical assessment skills.
- Experience working with pediatric and adult populations is preferred.
- Bilingual in Bengali and English is strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
