Expo / Food Runner

Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and hardworking Expo / Food Runner to join our team. This position plays an important role in keeping the kitchen and dining room running smoothly. The Expo is responsible for coordinating food orders, checking plates for accuracy and presentation, communicating with the kitchen and service staff, and running food to guests as needed.
The ideal candidate is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize and manage the expo line during service
- Ensure all food orders are accurate before leaving the kitchen
- Check plates for proper presentation, quality, and completeness
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and managers
- Run food to tables as needed
- Help ensure guests receive food in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with sauces, garnishes, sides, silverware, and other expo-related needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Support the team with additional tasks as needed during service
Qualifications
- Restaurant experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry trays or plates as needed
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required
