Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Ft Belvoir, VA (on-site)
Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret
Certification/Education: MS Degree in an engineering related field and 5 years of experience; BS degree and 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education, advanced technical certifications, and direct related engineering experience. Possess relevant certifications i.e. Cisco CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Collaboration as well as CompTIA CASP+ or equivalent advanced industry credential supporting senior level telecommunications and network engineering.
Salary: $200k - $225k
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Works under general supervision as the engineering authority responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of the enterprise Telecom/Collaboration architecture.
- Develops technical requirements, engineering specifications, and solution designs to address deficiencies, support new capabilities, and meet evolving mission needs. Performs engineering‑level installation, configuration, and integration of new systems and devices, including submitting engineering change requests (ECRs), coordinating IP/port/VM allocations, and securing rack, power, and connectivity with data center personnel.
- Leads the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues, providing Tier 3 escalation support and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, and architectural direction.
- Coordinates with Vendor PMs, COTRs, and government technical representatives to ensure engineering solutions meet stakeholder needs and integrates with broader enterprise initiatives.
- Contributes to short‑ and long‑term technical strategy, participates in budget and lifecycle planning, and provides engineering oversight across subordinate technical roles, maintaining the capability to perform at or above the Telecom Network Junior Engineer and VTC Lead levels when required.
- Experience with complex applications involving all phases of telecommunications and network engineering.
- Experience with evaluating and estimating carrier provided voice and data WAN services, designing access and backbone networks using carrier services, and/or managing the analysis and design of wireless voice or data networks using private radio or commercial services, including familiarity with networking protocols and standard IoT protocols.
Pay: $200,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
