We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Director to lead and support the operations of our vibrant child care center. Responsibilities
- Assist the center director in overseeing daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and quality standards
- Support curriculum development initiatives that promote age-appropriate learning, creativity, and social-emotional growth
- Lead staff supervision, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to strategic planning efforts to enhance program offerings and community engagement
- Manage budgeting processes, monitor expenses, and assist with financial planning to maintain fiscal health
- Coordinate fundraising activities and community outreach to support program sustainability and expansion
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment by supervising classroom activities, conducting safety audits, and addressing parent concerns effectively
- Represent the center in public speaking engagements and community events to promote our mission and programs
Experience
- Proven management experience within early childhood education or child care administration
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams of educators or staff members
- Strong background in curriculum development and educational programming for young children
- Experience with budgeting, strategic planning, and fundraising initiatives
- Classroom teaching experience coupled with working directly with students is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for public speaking, parent engagement, and team collaboration
- Prior experience in education administration or senior leadership roles within child care centers is preferred
