Position: Data Migration Lead/QA
Location: Jersey City, NJ (3 Days/week onsite)
Duration: 12+ Month’s (Only W2 )
Job Description:
QA / Data Migration Lead Need (ACTIVE NEW OPENING)
This is the real hiring need she spent most time discussing.
What the project is:
- DB2 / Sybase migration
- Moving legacy database stack cloud tech stack
- Heavy data migration + validation + testing
- Part of broader cloud migration initiative (sounds tied to Market Risk/MRT)
What they need:
Onshore Lead (1¬2 openings)
One for:
Potential second:
- EMT / Environment Management team (slightly different focus)
Must-have skills:
Strong SQL (very important)
Python (for automation/data validation)
Database migration experience
Experience with:
- DB2
- Sybase
- Other legacy DBs acceptable
Ability to:
- Validate migrated data
- Automate testing/validation
- Coordinate migration tasks
Leadership expectation:
This is NOT an individual contributor only role.
They explicitly said:
We are hiring 7-8 offshore resources doing same work, lead will be here.
So this person must:
- Lead offshore team
- Coordinate migration requirements
- Work with multiple teams
- Drive execution
Think:
Tech Lead / Migration Lead / Data QA Lead
Nice-to-have:
- Risk domain experience
- Prior cloud migration programs
- Understanding of enterprise architecture
Pay: Up to $64.00 per hour
