Minimum Qualifications: Hiring subject to applicable URJ and Pennsylvania State background checks.
The Head Songleader/ JLife Coordinator is instrumental in helping to establish camp culture, prayer experiences, and articulating Jewish Teachable Moments (JTM’s). Calm under pressure with a proven track record of excellent organizational and communications skills; comfort in managing multiple projects with and for multiple stakeholders. Able to actively look after ones’ own physical and mental health, and advocate for own needs. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and work as part of a team. Graduate student or the equivalent, with training and experience in Jewish Education, ability to support a team, and a passion for Jewish education. Love and/or respect for The Arts and a diverse community is a must. 21 years of age June 1 of this summer.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Director and Faculty Deans to craft worship experiences and provide primary or supplemental music during all Shabbat offerings
- Collaborate with Faculty to update and coordinate slides for visual t’fillah and songsession lyrics
- Work with the songleading team to craft song sessions
- Assign songleaders as needed for ritual moments and song sessions
- Fulfill all additional responsibilities of songleading team
- Coordinate, organize, host and lead Showcase in partnership with Programming Director
- Assign ritual participation where applicable for Erev Shabbat, Shabbat morning, Havdallah and MoMoments/Siyyum
- Assign Shabbat prep activities to arts majors, distribute sign-up forms to campers, staff and faculty, and assign campers, staff, and faculty to activities
- Support Arts Mentors in their Shabbat prep assignments
- Actively participate and demonstrate respect for ritual moments in conjunction with URJ practices, including Israel (your personal beliefs are also respected)
- Serve as a positive (Jewish) role model
- Ensure timely and complete set up of all ritual items
- Supervise the CAA Summer Shlichut Program in partnership with Faculty Deans
- Assist with integration of Israel (and potentially other countries) into Arts Majors and Camp Programming
- Collaborate with Unit Heads and Gesher Director on the integration of Judaic content into camp programming, included but not limited to implementation of the summer theme and core values
- Collaborate with Artistic Director on the integration of Judaic content into all Arts programming, included but not limited to implementation of the summer theme and core value
Leadership Team Responsibilities:
- Abide by and enforce safety and security protocols and policies with all participants and staff.
- Attend Spring Leadership Retreat as scheduled
- Attend daily Leadership Team meetings
- Attend routine meetings with Camp Director and Medical Team as scheduled
- Contribute to the overall positive morale of the camp community.
- Serve as Senior Shmira (nightly on-duty leadership coverage) as assigned
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Other responsibilities as needed
