JOB SUMMARY
The Student Success Coordinator works in a fast paced environment supporting students, families, and staff with trauma-informed best practices. They will be part of a small but essential team committed to providing data-driven, integrated, trauma-responsive, differentiated supports to students. The Student Success Coordinator will work with students, school staff, families, and outside providers to coordinate wraparound support for students at risk of truancy or significant learning disruptions due to significant mental health issues.

TASKS
System Development and Alignment
- Collaborate in building and maintaining a multi-tiered support framework including academic, behavioral, social-emotion, and attendance supports
- Align student support efforts with other district initiatives, including special education, PBIS, SEL, and TREP
- Help establish criteria for Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and referral pathways
Facilitation of Student Support Teams
- Lead or co-lead Student Support meetings with staff, students, families, and community members
- Use structured problem-solving protocols to guide discussions
- Ensure that decision-making is based on data
- Promote collaboration across general education, special education, counseling, leadership, families, and community partners
Data-Informed Decision Making
- Oversee universal screening procedures and help identify students needing additional supports
- Support teams in selecting appropriate interventions and monitoring student progress
- Monitor fidelity of intervention implementation; support implementation and adjustments, as needed
Collaboration & Capacity Building
- Train staff on MTSS processes and tools
- Collaborate with student, staff, families, community members, and other stakeholders to provide wraparound supports
- Model implementation of best-practices to support students with students identified in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports
Equity and Access
- Use data to examine patterns and address disproportionality
- Ensure that all students have access to timely, effective support
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
- Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, psychology, counseling, or a related field (minimum)
- Master’s degree in education, special education, psychology, counseling, or a related field (preferred)
- Teaching credential or pupil services credential
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
- 3–5+ years of experience in teaching, special education, school psychology, or behavior support
- Experience facilitating intervention teams or problem-solving teams
- Familiarity with intervention planning, data analysis, and evidence-based practices
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Ohio Educator License related to teaching area
- Pass BCI and FBI background check
- Pass Educator Licensure conduct review
Compensation:
- Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and education.
