Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Remote CAD Drafter to prepare complete residential and commercial construction documents for permit submission throughout California. This is a fully remote, work-from-home position.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare full plan sets including site plans, floor plans, roof plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Draft and assist with the design of ADUs, home additions, remodels, and single-family homes.
- Work closely with architects and designers from concept development through permitting.
- Revise plans based on client feedback and city plan-check comments.
- Create 2D presentations and visual drawings to communicate design concepts.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- Knowledge of California Building Codes, zoning requirements, and permit processes.
- Experience producing permit-ready residential construction documents.
- Familiarity with ADUs, additions, remodels, and single-family residential projects.
- Basic understanding of structural and engineering concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
