About the Role:
As an essential part of our team, you'll support every stage of orthodontic treatment while following the doctors' guidance and established treatment plans. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Prepping teeth for bracket and band placement
- Fastening orthodontic wires
- Guiding patients on proper oral hygiene and appliance care
- Encouraging patients to reach their best possible orthodontic outcomes
- Acting as an important point of connection between patients and orthodontists
- Making sure patients feel at ease and involved during every visit
Beyond that, you'll be responsible for sterilizing and setting up orthodontic instruments, keeping your workspace tidy and well-organized, and staying compliant with OSHA and HIPAA standards. Adaptability and a proactive mindset are key, since you'll be expected to stay one step ahead of what both our patients and dental team need.
Requirements:
- At ease in a busy, fast-moving setting
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Skilled at connecting with patients and parents to help them feel welcome and comfortable
- NJ dental radiology license required or currently being pursued
- CDA certificate, RDA license, or 1+ of related experience — ideally in orthodontics — are considered a bonus
This position also involves a rotating schedule of 4 days per week, along with a consistent commitment to professionalism and adaptability. Physical demands include being able to sit, stand, and walk for long stretches, as well as the manual dexterity needed to handle instruments and equipment such as digital 3D scanners and X-ray machines.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
