Position Summary
The Front Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. This role is responsible for greeting patients, checking them in and out, verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting applicable payments, answering questions, and ensuring every patient receives exceptional customer service from the moment they arrive.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
- Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient balances.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions.
- Schedule appointments as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Assist with general front office duties and administrative tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications
- Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and excellent communications skills are a must!
- Dependable with excellent attendance and reliability.
