As the Manager of Planning & Inventory Control at Astrolab, you will be responsible for managing inventory movement and flow from end to end – from loading the initial material demand all the way through shipping the parts and/or materials through the final assembly. This role is crucial in maintaining the supply chain for our lunar rovers, ensuring we have the systems and processes in place to know what we need and by when we need it, to provide the Procurement team with clear demand signals, and the Inventory Control team with clear direction of what material movement is needed and by when. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, Production, and external providers to ensure that Astrolab’s supply chain is planned and executed from initial design through final delivery. This role oversees the Warehouse & Inventory Control department and works closely with the Procurement team.

Develop, implement & maintain MRP system in our ERP
- Manage the Production Schedule Plan demand signal within our MRP and MES
- Manage the ERP-based Bills of Material through changes during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process as BOMs move from Advanced Demand Planning to Released Product Planning
- Develop and manage Warehouse & Inventory Control processes according to best practices and AS9100 requirements
- Develop metrics, reporting, and process around managing workload to ensure >80% utilization of production capacity
- Analyze and manage inventory usage, scrap, and storage to minimize loss and maximize available resources
- Develop and maintain best practices for shipping, including managing LTL and FTL supplier relationships
- Support Production by picking, kitting, receiving goods, etc. as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience in inventory control, production planning, or supply chain management
- Experience using ERP systems, such as NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel
- Experience supporting inventory control and production planning
- Experience analyzing inventory and supply chain data
- Experience managing multiple projects or priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, technology, or another highly regulated industry
- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience with production scheduling, demand planning, or inventory forecasting
- Experience implementing process improvements
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar certification
- Experience using reporting or business intelligence tools
