Overview
MBM Inc. is seeking a dedicated Assistant Executive Housekeeper (AEH) to join our team at Kirk Army Health Clinic (KAHC), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The AEH serves as the direct on-site supervisor for Healthcare Environmental Cleaning (HEC) operations at Kirk AHC, reporting to the Executive Housekeeper (EH) based at Fort George G. Meade. This role focuses on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, infection control, and compliance with DHA healthcare environmental cleaning standards.
This role supports the EH in supervising day-to-day operations at Kirk AHC and ensuring that all areas meet the cleanliness and infection-control standards essential for patient care and safety. The AEH will also step in to support EH responsibilities for Kirk AHC operations as needed.
Job Responsibilities
● Team Management: Supervise housekeeping/EVS staff at Kirk AHC, including scheduling, workload assignment, training, motivation, and performance evaluations.
● Operations Support: Oversee daily HEC operations at Kirk AHC, manage cleaning projects, monitor infection control measures, and ensure compliance with the DHA HEC Performance Work Statement.
● Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections at Kirk AHC to ensure compliance with cleanliness and infection control requirements; support the EH's Quality Control Plan (QCP) and corrective action process.
● Customer Service: Address concerns and requests from clinic staff, patients, and visitors at Kirk AHC, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and support to the mission.
● Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all healthcare cleaning protocols, OSHA standards, and DHA HEC safety requirements. Communicate changes in policies and procedures to on-site staff.
● Reporting: Report directly to the Executive Housekeeper (EH), based at Fort Meade, providing regular updates on Kirk AHC staffing, operations, and inspection results.
● Leadership: Step in to support EH responsibilities for Kirk AHC operations as needed, ensuring seamless coverage.
Qualifications
● Education: High school diploma required; college experience preferred.
● Certification: Must be certified as a CESE or RCESE through the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA), or as a Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) through the Association for the Healthcare Environment, or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Experience
● At least 1 year of experience in healthcare environmental services within the last 3 years in a medical or clinic facility of comparable size and scope.
● A minimum of 2 years of prior supervisory/management experience in healthcare environmental services is required.
Work Schedule
Full-time position, 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm), based at Kirk Army Health Clinic, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
