Max’s Tavern and Max’s Swing Lounge, located inside the iconic Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pantry Cook with open availability to join our collaborative and fast-paced culinary team. Responsibilities:
Prepare and plate food items to support both Max’s Tavern and Swing Lounge menus
Handle cold prep including salads, sauces, proteins, and composed appetizers
Execute dishes with accuracy, speed, and presentation excellence
Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols
Be cross-trained to support additional stations as needed during high-volume periods
Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with general kitchen duties
Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused kitchen culture
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience as a pantry or cold food prep in a high-volume restaurant setting is strongly preferred
Previous line cook experience is a PLUS
Comfortable working across different kitchen stations in a fast-paced environment
Skills and Qualities:
Professional behavior and strong time management
Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to consistency and quality
Strong communication and ability to stay organized under pressure
Eagerness to support other stations and special events as needed
Open availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
