Touching Miami with Love (TML), a nonprofit faith-based organization looking to hire a part-time individual with experience leading programs for children in grades K-5th.
The Teacher’s primary role is to cultivate the lives of the young people by nurturing them through loving relationships, challenging them through learning and creative activities, and developing their social-emotional skills.
During afterschool hours 5 days a week 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm & 7 weeks summer hours: 9 AM-5 PM
- Provide the instruction for the program's participants through homework assistance, STEM, enrichment activities, fitness, social-emotional learning, life-skills, and literacy.
- Assist with all aspects of programs, including curriculum implementation, field trips, and volunteers and interns.
- Lead all aspects of programs, including curriculum implementation, field trips, and volunteers and interns.
- Develop relationships with youth, families, community members and our staff team.
- Instill the importance of education amongst our children.
- Maintain classroom structure and provide a positive class environment.
- Lead class group.
- Review classroom strategies to promote student learning, best practices; understanding, and identify challenges.
