Summary
Saticoy Foods Corporation is seeking to hire a full-time Manual Machinist for our plant facility located in Ventura County, California. We are looking for a qualified, dedicated problem solver who works well in a team environment and takes pride in his or her work. This individual must have experience with a manual lathe, mills, and grinders and use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
Typical Hours: 10- hour shift/ 4 days a week. Overtime during Production Season.
Job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Previous experience and record as a machinist
- Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated tools and manual machines such as lathes, grinders, mill etc.
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
- Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Good at math with analytical abilities
- Adhering to work hours as required by this position
- Following all safety measures as required by the company
- Report any unsafe machinery or areas of the plant
- Performing other duties as requested by supervisor or management.
Food Safety Related Job Requirements:
- Ensures that contamination of product does not occur when working in the process area.
- Maintain paperwork for scheduled maintenance log
- Keeps all tools from coming in contact with product.
- Does not introduce foreign material (i.e metal chards, nuts, bolts) into the process area
- Responsible for maintaining food safety
Personal Protection Equipment Required:
- Face shield/googles
- Hairnet/beard net
- Earplugs
- Bump cap
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be capable of making repetitive arm and hand motions, stand, walk up steps, reach, bend, kneel, and lift*.
- Must be able to stand continuously for extended periods of time
- High School Diploma/GED required
