Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Smoothie Barista to join our team during afternoon, weekend, and evening shifts. This position is ideal for high school students looking for part time work. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare delicious smoothies and bowls, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve smoothies and bowls according to company recipes and standards
- Operate Toast POS system and interact with customers
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage multiple tasks effectively with strong time management skills during busy periods
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Skills
- Previous barista or smoothie experience is preferred; food service or food industry background is a plus
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems for efficient sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order totaling
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in serving beverages, food preparation, and retail sales is desirable
