We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment. This position works closely with classroom teachers to provide instructional support, assist with student supervision, and help meet the individual needs of students with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom preparation, instructional materials, and small group instruction.
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and daily living needs.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise students during classroom and school activities.
- Assist with behavior management and classroom routines.
- Support physical therapy programs and basic care needs as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and administrators.
- Participate in training and professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children required.
- For positions with responsibilities beyond core services, a minimum of two (2) years of college coursework is required.
- For assignments in Title I schools, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- Completion of at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education;
- Associate's degree or higher; or
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to assist with instruction in core academic subjects through an approved state or local assessment.
